Boil water notice lifted for remaining residents affected by City of Jackson system-wide advisory

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — The boil water notice that was still affecting a few Jackson streets after a system-wide advisory has now been lifted.

The advisory has been lifted for the following streets:

  • Village Drive
  • Norway Drive
  • Nordell Drive
  • Nisqually Road
  • Neering Trail & Nimrod Circle
  • Nakoma Drive
  •  [4600-4899] Kirkley Drive

The entire City of Jackson was under a boil water advisory after a valve issue at the J.H. Fewell facility due to weather-related power outages at the O.B. Curtis facility. Workers were able to fix the problem. The advisory was lifted for all customers on the city’s water system on March 14 except for those listed in the above streets.

After two consecutive days of clear sampling, the advisory was lifted.
