JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A Jackson Police patrol officer is on leave after a domestic altercation, according to authorities.
Jackson Police Department Chief of Police Lee Vance says Shante Stanford,a four-year veteran with JPD, has been arrested and charged with simple domestic violence. She is currently on administrative leave with pay.
Chief Vance says police were called to her home where she was having an altercation with the woman she was involved with.
Stanford works in Precinct One as a patrol officer.
Chief Lee Vance said it will be left up to a judge to decide if she is guilty.
