One JPS school above regulatory water limit

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Jackson Public School District tested several schools’ drinking water systems.

JPS tested elementary schools from the targeted areas tagged by the city of Jackson.

JPS tested Casey Elementary, Lee Elementary, Marshall Elementary, McLeod Elementary, Spann Elementary, Oak Forest Elementary, Timberlawn Elementary, and Woodville Heights Elementary.

JPS states one out of 37 samples were above the regulatory limit.

That sample was found at Lee Elementary School. JPS removed the drinking water source. It is now out of service.
