CRYSTAL SPRINGS, Miss. (WJTV) – No charges will be filed against the man who slammed his car into a Crystal Springs restaurant.
WJTV spoke to the manager when it happened this past Saturday, April 17, 2016.
“I was in there at the cash register checking this lady out and a man came through hit the building, put it in reverse and put it back in drive and started driving back and we all went to running. He didn’t say a word he just came in and sat down,” said Kendra Cook, the manager of Louise’s Open Pit Barbeque.
Police tell us that the 72-year-old man behind the wheel says his foot slipped.
He says he accidentally hit the accelerator.
There were about 10 people inside when it happened.
There was some damage to the wall but no one was hurt.
