UPDATE: Jackson Police said three people have been detained for questioning in connection with an early morning carjacking and shooting.

They told WJTV that they believe whoever was involved in the carjacking on Congress Street near Davis Magnet School, could be connected to a carjacking that happened last night.

JPD Commander Tyree Jones said that a red Nissan Altima was carjacked from a North Jackson apartment complex Thursday night. There were two male suspects in this case.
