JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — Bond is denied for a man accused in a deadly police chase.
Donnell Johnson appeared in Hinds County court for his preliminary hearing Monday. He’s facing a second-degree murder charge.
Clinton Police said Johnson led them on a chase into Jackson after he allegedly shoplifted from the Walmart on Highway 80.
34-year-old Lonnie Blue Jr. was on his way home from work when the suspect’s car veered into his lane and hit Blue head on. Blue died from his injuries.
Two others were in the car with Johnson. They are facing shoplifting charges.
