MADISON, Miss. – The life of a young teen killed in an ATV accident was remembered tonight in Madison.
Classmates, family, and friends gathered in front of Madison Middle School remembering Kameron Bacon.
The 14-year-old was killed Monday after he was struck by an 18-wheeler while riding an ATV.
Bacon was killed on the scene.
Some students say they are still coming to grips with this tragedy that struck during their summer break.
We caught up with Bacon’s cousin, Ciara Rosell, who organized the vigil in his memory.
“His name just came from out of nowhere,” Rosell said. “I was like please Lord not him and so when I got the news, I mean it was hard.”
Funeral arrangements for the eighth grader are pending at this time.
We are told the accident is still under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
