Sheriff Victor Mason said the escapees created a hole in the wall to get out. They are still trying to figure out what they used to make the hole in the wall.

Mason said the last time Moore and Landfair were seen was during an inmate roll call around 4 a.m. Deputies realized they were missing sometime after that. They said they searched the facility fist; they initially thought they were still inside the building. After they had realized they were gone, the public was notified just before 10 a.m.

Moore was being held on several carjacking charges and for the murder of Carolyn Temple. He is also one of the three inmates who broke out of the Downtown Jail last year. They used bed sheets to lower themselves to the ground.

Landfair is facing a murder charge for the death of Christopher Catchings. Catchings was found shot to death in his car outside the Red Apple Inn Apartments in Jackson. He was arrested in December.

Sheriff Mason said his team has been working nonstop to find the escapees. He said they are working off of some strong leads. Authorities also found a cell phone near the facility that might be connected to them.

Both men are considered dangerous. Anyone who see Moore or Landfair, contact police.
