NEW ORLEANS — Authorities are still looking for a Mississippi woman who went missing in Louisiana.
Initially, police said Chandra Smith was last seen on Sunday, June 26 around 1 a.m. leaving a hotel on Canal Street.
Authorities have now developed new leads in the case. They said their investigation has determined that Smith was seen boarding a Greyhound bus to Baton Rouge that afternoon. New Orleans Police are working with other agencies to get surveillance video to see if she arrived in Baton Rouge.
Police said Smith has been diagnosed as bi-polar and schizophrenic, and it is possible she has not taken her medications. NOPD suggests that if anyone sees her, contact police and do not approach her.
