JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — The Youthbuild Program in Jackson is helping teens who are considered at risk to receive a GED.
Students who recently completed the program were honored at a graduation ceremony Thursday morning.
Youthbuild, a second-chance program, helps the students from ages 16 through 24 take classes to receive their GED.
The development program also helps with housing, employment, crime prevention in low-income neighborhoods, and leadership development.
They also complete community service hours among other certifications.
The Department of Labor funds the program.
