RIDGELAND, Miss. (WJTV) – A grandmother has been arrested for child endangerment, after police say she left a toddler locked in a car.
It happened before 8 p.m.
Ridgeland Police Chief John Neal says the grandmother left a 3-year-old locked in a car in the Lowe’s parking lot, off County Line Road.
Chief Neal says the grandmother left the windows slightly cracked, while she went inside to get a plant.
She was arrested on the scene.
Police say the boy was turned over to his mother.
