Grenada father, who left daughter in hot car, speaks out

GRENADA, Miss. (WJTV) – Joshua Blunt sat down with CBS News for an exclusive interview.

He explains what it was like to find his eight-month old after leaving her in his hot car for four hours.

He is charged in the hot-car death of his 8-month old daughter.

His daughter, Shania, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016 after being found unconscious in her father’s car outside of his job in Grenada.

In the past, he said he simply forgot she was still in the back seat when he checked in for work.

“It just feels like your whole world just shut down. Just, just knowing her last words were daddy,” said Blunt.

Blunt’s manslaughter trial has been delayed until January 2017.
