UPDATE: 08/25/2016 12:01am The children of murder victim Kimberly Harvill have been found and are safe. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says that homicide bureau detectives were in a motel just outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico. According to a post on the LACSD’s Facebook page, “The suspects left the children in the care of a Good Samaritan who in turn notified local law enforcement.”
Police are still searching for suspects Joshua Robertson and Brittany Humphrey. They now believe that Robertson has another child, an infant who is not related to Kimberly Harvill’s three children.
The release continues as follows:
“Rylee, Brayden, and Joslynn are now safe with authorities. We will be coordinating our efforts with the Department of Children and Family Services to arrange for the safe return of the children to California.
The Suspects are still on the run and believed to be eastbound from Albuquerque toward neighboring states. In addition, investigators have learned that Joshua Robertson has an infant minor child in his care. The child is not related to the three located missing children.”
Anyone with information on the suspects’ whereabouts is asked to call police. Robertson and Humphrey are considered to be armed and dangerous.
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, California (WJTV) – Police are asking for help from the public finding two adults and three children from California.
Joshua Robertson and Brittany Humphrey were last seen with Kimberly Harvill’s three minor children. The children are: Joslynn Watkins, Brayden Watkins, and Rylee Watkins. Authorities say the suspects are to be considered armed and dangerous.
Harvill’s body was found on Sunday, August 14, 2016 by a person driving along Gorman Post Road, which is north of California State Route 138 in the Los Angeles County town of Lebec. According to a post from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LACSD) on Facebook, the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Office and fire rescue personnel determined that Harvill suffered trauma to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say they believe that Robertson and Humphrey have fled the state of California.
According to the post from the LACSD, “Joshua Robertson has a criminal history, is on Post Release Community Supervision, and has a previous arrest for possession of a firearm. Joshua Robertson and Brittany Humphrey are also wanted for questioning in Victim Harvill’s death. The suspect should be considered Armed & Dangerous. DO NOT APPROACH and immediately notify law enforcement.”
The two may be driving Kimberly Harvill’s green 1999 Ford Expedition, which bore California license plate number 7BEK024. The plate may have been removed and replaced. The children are considered to be at risk.
