Demetric Bridges is no longer in police custody.
Commander Tyree Jones, of the Jackson Police Department, says all charges against Bridges have been dropped at this time.
JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — A man wanted in connection with a double shooting is now in custody.
Police said 35-year-old Demetric Bridges turned himself in Friday. He is wanted for two counts of aggravated assault.
Officers went to a shooting on Bent Tree Drive on August 7. JPD said two people were shot during an attempted robbery. A woman was shot in both legs, and a man was shot in the chest and an arm.
Bridges was the second person identified as a suspect in this case.Police charged 28-year-old Orlando Williams in connection with the crime.
The male victim was able to shoot Williams during the attempted robbery. Police identified Williams as a suspect after he showed up to a hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound. He was taken into custody that same day.
