CLINTON, Miss. (WJTV) — Two people plead guilty to carjacking.
According to U. S. Attorney Gregory Davis, 20-year-old Demario Webster, and 24-year-old Ira McGruder entered guilty pleas Friday. The man are from Jackson.
The carjacking happened in September 2014. The victim came home from work and was robbed. His watch and money were taken. He was also forced inside his house at gunpoint by fore people.
The victim was tied up, and the robbers made him tell where he had other money inside his home. They stole handguns, a television, jewelry and BMW.
The BMW was recovered about one hour later near the intersection of TV and Maddox Roads in Jackson.
Sentencing is set for December 1. The defendants each face a maximum penalty of 15 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.
