UPDATE: Hit and run suspect charged with aggravated assault

UPDATE on 9/11/16: Jackson police confirm Cameron Cooper is charged with to counts of aggravated assault. This comes days after the 37 year old turned himself into police in connection to a hit and run that left two teens injured.

UPDATE on 9/9/16: Jackson Police say 37-year-old Cameron Cooper has turned himself in to police. This is in connection to a hit and run that left two teens injured on Greenwood Avenue.

Jackson Police tell us two 13-year-old boys are recovering from a hit and run, and they are looking for the man who they believe hit them.

We’re told the accident happened on the 2800 block of Greenwood Avenue, Friday afternoon.

Police believe 37-year-old Cameron Cooper intentionally hit the teens with a Brown Chevy Suburban.

Investigators say this happened after an unrelated fight.

Cooper is wanted for two counts of Aggravated Assault with a motor vehicle.

Both teens were taken to the hospital.
