HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) — Students at Raymond High School got an up-close look at what emergency crews go through when they respond to fatal wrecks involving drunk drivers.
Mississippi Highway Patrol, The Hinds County Sheriff’s Department, and Raymond Police conducted a mock DUI crash Tuesday at the school.
The accident was staged with two fatalities. Emergency crews even brought a hearse to come and pick up those who died.
MHP said they want students to realize how serious it is when someone drives drunk. Authorities said they tried to make the staged accident as real as possible for students.
