Egg Bowl will be played on Thanksgiving in 2017

WJTV – Starting in 2017, Ole Miss and Mississippi State will be back to playing the Egg Bowl on Thanksgiving.

The SEC released all of its teams’ schedules for next season, showing the new holiday date for the rivalry. This game is the start of a multi-year agreement for the Rebels and Bulldogs to play on Thanksgiving. The Clarion-Ledger reports that multi-year agreement goes through 2017 and 2018.

2013 was the last time these two met on Thanksgiving. Dak Prescott entered the game in the fourth quarter to lead the Bulldogs to a 17-10 overtime win.
