JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — Burglars break into a Jackson appliance store overnight by cutting a hole in the wall.
It happened at the Cowboy Maloney’s Electric City location on I-55 near Briarwood Drive.
Co-owner, Johnny Maloney, a manager showed up Wednesday around 7:15 a.m. and tried to disarm the alarm, but the code wasn’t going through. That’s when he noticed a hole in the wall. Someone had cut a hole through a cinder block to get in.
Maloney said the burglars sprayed the motion detector and security cameras in the business. They also used something to try to explode the safe. They stole some cash from it.
The thieves got away with multiple TVs that were on display, air conditioners, and wall mounts for the TVs.
JPD is investigating the burglary. Anyone with information, contact police.
