RIDGELAND, Miss. (WJTV) — A man wanted for allegedly leading Ridgeland Police on a chase Labor Day weekend is in custody.
Ridgeland Police said 34-year-old Jimmie Lashaun Gardner was arrested Wednesday around 6:30 a.m.
Gardner allegedly drove a car the wrong way on Spillway Road near The Reservoir, according to police. We’re told he almost hit several vehicles head-on while he was trying to avoid a safety checkpoint. The suspect crashed his car and left the scene on foot.
Deputies located Gardner at his home on Lynda Street in Jackson Wednesday. He was hiding under a bed.
His bond is set at $30,000.
He’s charged with a two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, and felony fleeing.
