Woman dies from “tragic four-wheeler accident” in Florence

FLORENCE, Miss. (WJTV) – One woman is dead after a four-wheeler accident early Sunday evening.

Shelly Chase, 38, of Florence died on Poplar Springs Road according to Rankin County Coroner David Ruth.

Coroner Ruth says it was a “tragic four-wheeler accident.”

Lt. Paul Mullins with the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department says Chase was spraying chemicals in her pasture on the back of a four-wheeler; and as Chase was coming up on an incline, the tank shifted and four-wheeler rolled on top of her.

Lt. Mullins goes on to say that is how she was found
