Southern Pines Animal Shelter is conducting a “Shoes for Paws” shoe collection drive until October 14, 2016 to support their life-saving mission of making a difference for cats or dogs in need. The shelter will earn funds based on the number of pairs collected as Funds2Orgs will purchase all of the donated footwear, which will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of micro-enterprise partners in developing nations. Funds2Orgs helps impoverished people start, maintain, and grow businesses in countries such as Haiti, Honduras and other nations in Central America and Africa.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to not only continue our mission to save and improve the lives of cats and dogs in Mississippi,” says Dani Snell, Southern Pines Media
Specialist, “but also to positively impact the lives of people in need.”
By donating shoes to Southern Pines Animal Shelter, the donated shoes will be given a second chance, will make a difference in people’s lives, and will give homeless dogs and cats a chance at happy, new beginnings. People who are interested in donating shoes can drop them off at Southern Pines Animal Shelter (1901 N. 31st Avenue), The Southern Pines Spay and Neuter Clinic (1304 Hardy Street), Second Chance Thrift Shop (111 Broadway Drive) and WHLT 22 (5912 Hwy 49, Ste. A).
