JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — One of the men injured in the Lynch Street shooting from Monday night has been charged with murder.
Police said 18-year-old Christopher Gunn, Jr. is charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
JPD said 19-year-old Justin Tillman died from his injuries at the hospital. Three other people were also injured, including Gunn.
Police were called to the scene after they received reports of multiple gunshots in the area. Tillman died at the hospital. JPD said two people were at Boston Fish Supreme sitting in a car with Tillman.
A man in a black Lexus approached them and got out of his car and started firing shots. One of the victims shot back at the suspect as he left the scene.
Police were called to Merit Health because a patient showed up there with a gunshot wound. They Gunn was dropped off there by someone in a black Lexus. Gunn was shot in the arm and back.
Gunn is currently in police custody.
