HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) — The Hinds County Sheriff’s Department conducted a drug bust at a convenience store on Road of Remembrance.
Deputies along with agents from the Attorney General’s Office went to Big Boyz Wednesday.
Law enforcement officers confiscated khat, counterfeit Viagra, and DVDs. They also seized more than $1,100 in cash.
Investigators took 43-year-old Salem Alobeli into custody. He is charged with possession of three ounces of Khat and for having counterfeit items.
Authorities said Khat is a plant that can be chewed or boiled into a drink. It is used as an amphetamine stimulant.
