JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — A Jackson woman is looking for answers and peace.
She said a man attacked her a few months ago, and he still hasn’t been caught.
One June 28 on Adkins Boulevard, Aidan Blasingame, said someone forced themselves into her home. She said nothing has been the same since.
“Before I could even get out of the bed, he was already hitting me while I was in the bed,” she sid.
“I have five different cuts on my face that I got more than 300 stitches for,” she sid. “They broke my upper jawbone, and I had to have a bone graft for my chin, to build up this bone again.”
The 26-year-old said a man dressed in dark clothing with his face covered came into her home around 5:15 a.m. that morning. She said he used a large crescent wrench to beat her repeatedly.
“He beat me for about 10 minutes, and I managed to get out of my room and run out to the living room, and he continued.”
Police said they have reason to believe this was an isolated event, but there has not been enough evidence presented to make an arrest.
She is hoping that someone saw something or know something about the attack will come forward.
“If he is going to do this to somebody that he doesn’t even know, imagine what he could do to somebody else,” she said. You don’t just break into somebody’s house like that for no reason.”
Crime Stoppers is offering a $7,500 reward for information that can lead to an arrest.
