UPDATE: Cause of Henry Street 3-house fire under investigation

UPDATE: 09/30/2016 7:48am  Jackson Division Fire Chief Cleotha Sanders confirms that firefighters were on the scene of the fire at approximately 5:54am.  The three homes that were on fire were all reported to be vacant.

The fire was declared under control at 6:28am.

At this time no injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

UPDATE: 09/30/2016 6:38am Multiple structures are on fire.  There is no word yet as to whether or not anyone is injured or what caused the fire.

JACKSON, Mississippi (WJTV) – Jackson firefighters are on the scene of a blaze on Henry Street near John Hart Street.

Jackson Division Fire Chief Cleotha Sanders has confirmed the fire but no other details are known at this time.

The location is between the Smith Robertson Museum and a row of what appear to be abandoned houses.  It is not known exactly what buildings are affected.

This is a developing story.  WJTV has a crew on scene and will provide more information as soon as it is available.
