JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson State’s Javancy Jones is known for his constant energy and relentless play.
The passion you see on the field is something he gets from the most important person in his life: his mother. The motivation that lies beneath his play, and really anything, starts with her too.
Kristine Jones is battling Neuromyelitis optica, also known as Devic’s disease. She was diagnosed four years ago during Jones’ senior year at Noxubee County High School.
Click the video above for WJTV 12’s Tyler Greever’s story from The Sports Zone on how Jones continues to thrive while taking care of her and dealing with his own physical issues.
