JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi hosted its annual walk to raise money for a cure.
Hundreds came out for the 22nd Mississippi’s Walk for Diabetes.
Those walking represent schools, churches and individuals who are impacted by diabetes each and every day.
It’s also an opportunity for parents, whose children have type-one-diabetes, to lean on one another for support
“It’s amazing to see everybody out here. It’s just really humbling to know that this is raising money to something that’s very important,” said Tracie Ridgen, a parent of a child with diabetes.
Every dollar raised at the walk will stay in Mississippi to help fund programs for children with diabetes and their families.
