ADAMS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) — The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is launching a new app that will allow residents to get information from the department and to provide tips anonymously so that investigators can solve crimes.
“We are committed to implementing strategies to create an innovative law enforcement agency including proactive policing, problem solving, and advanced technology,” said Sheriff Travis Patten. We believe the addition of this new app will allow us to continue to develop mutually beneficial partnerships with our community.
The app, developed by tip411, is available for free download.
App users will be able to find information, view alerts, and submit anonymous tips from their smartphone that can be responded to in real time.
Residents in Adams County without a smartphone will still be able to send an anonymous text tip by their cell phone by texting keyword ACSO#1 and their message/tip to 847411 (tip411).
