JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The City of Jackson kicked off a month of breast cancer awareness activities.
The Real Men Wear Pink 2016 candidates discussed this month’s awareness activities in front of the pink fountains of Thalia Mara Hall.
We spoke to one man who lost his mom to breast cancer.
He says she inspired him to participate.
“And this is her birthday month; and we also need to raise more awareness for breast cancer, and also men need to be checked just as much as women do,” said Jay D. Johnson, a Real Men Wear Pink 2016 candidate.
The City of Jackson will top off the month with the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk” on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
