Concealed cocaine sends Flowood man to prison

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A Flowood man is heading to federal prison for drug charges.

Jonathan Hilliam McDougal, 34, was sentenced to 28 months and three years of supervised release for possession with intent to distribute cocaine according to a press release by U. S. Attorney Gregory K. Davis.

McDougal was charged after “Operation Jackson Crackdown”, a narcotics investigation.

He was stopped by the Mississippi Highway Patrol and the Leake County Sheriff’s Department at a safety checkpoint; authorities found drugs hidden above the center console.

McDougal also has to pay a $1,500 fine.

This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, Leake County Sheriff’s Department and Mississippi Highway Patrol.
