JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A Mississippi utility company is sending crews to help with potential Hurricane Matthew damage.
Crews and contract workers will be leaving Thursday, October 6, 2016 according to a press release by Entergy Mississippi. The business will provide “(t)wenty-two restoration tool workers with a support team of 15 and six contract crews of five men each will help South Carolina Electric and Gas with any storm-related restoration needs.”
The storm is expected to affect parts of Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina and Virginia.
Hurricane Matthew is currently classified as a Category 3 hurricane.
Four contract crews left on Wednesday to assist Florida Power and Light.
