PEARL, Miss. (WJTV) – A Pearl police officer seized over 44 pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop on October 5th.
Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey said the officer was working with the Rankin County Drug Interdiction Task Force, when they stopped a 2000 Ford pickup for a traffic violation.
During the stop, the officer’s narcotics K9 revealed the pounds of high grade methamphetamine.
According to Sheriff Bailey, the street value of the methamphetamine is approximately $1.8 million dollars.
The investigation is ongoing.
