GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) – A 19-year-old Gulfport man has been charge in the Sept. 13 shooting death of 20-year-old Trevues Martin.
Gulfport police said in a news release Deandre Dashawn-Antonio Ball surrender to authorities Sunday after he learned he had been identified as the suspect in the slaying.
Police said Martin was found dead inside a car parked in front of his grandmother’s house. He died of a gunshot wound to the head.
Police have not release a motive for the fatal shooting.
Ball is being held at the Harrison County jail awaiting is first court appearance.
Justice Court Judge Melvin Ray set Ball’s bond at $250,000.
Online jail records do not list an attorney for him.
