33-year-old man missing from adult care facility

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A Jackson man is asking for the public’s help to find his nephew who has been missing for almost a week.

It was just a few years ago that his family experienced tragedy and loss.

It’s a case you might remember.

“I’m reliving this nightmare. I’m doing all I can to hold up; I’m reliving this nightmare.”

Clifford Harris says he found out Saturday that his 33-year-old nephew Andre Ealy was missing from his adult care facility.

He says Ealy is diagnosed with schizophrenia.

“He can function but there are times when, he’ll, his mind will falter him but he can function to a certain level,” said Harris.

He says his nephew has never gone this long without contacting him.

Ealy’s disappearance brings up feelings that are all too familiar for Harris.

“In 2013, my nephew came up missing. We went through some of the same protocols as I’m doing here today,” said Harris.

Another nephew of his, Robert Ross went missing; days later, an Arkansas man was arrested for Ross’s murder.

“There was blood spatter in the car and those kind of things and we kind of felt then that something had gone wrong,” said Harris.

Terribly wrong.

Harris says Arkansas and Mississippi law enforcement investigated the crime together to find out the horrifying truth.

“They murdered him. They first threw him in a vacant lot in an old abandoned house, in a vacant lot. They went back and retrieved his body took him to the Mississippi River and threw him over the Mississippi River,” said Harris.

Harris starts to tear up as he says me the rest.

“We found out they left blood spatter on the bridge came back and came back and painted the bridge where they blood spattered him but we’ve never recovered his body.”

He says he’s praying for the best for Ealy but preparing for the worst, something he’s done before.

If you have any information on Andre Ealy’s whereabouts, please contact the Jackson Police Department at (601) 960 – 1234.
