Hattiesburg man indicted for sexual battery of a vulnerable person

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WJTV) -A Hattiesburg man has been arrested and charged for sexual battery.

James Haydel, 23, was arrested after “an indictment by a Forrest County grand jury for one count of sexual battery of a vulnerable person” according to a press release by the Mississippi Attorney General’s office.

Haydel faces up to 30 years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted for allegedly “engaging in sexual penetration with a vulnerable person” while he worked as a clinical assistant at a healthcare facility in Hattiesburg.
