JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – WJTV wants to thank everyone for showing up to the JDRF Walk to Cure Juvenile Diabetes.
This is a WJTV Caring for Mississippi event and our own Byron Brown played host.
You all helped raise more than $232,000 so far this year!
JDRF’s goal is to raise money to treat, prevent and cure type one diabetes; an auto-immune disease that affects adults and kids.
“There’s a lot of complications that come with type one diabetes as you get older. So our goal is to live as healthy as we can right now with these new technologies until we find a cure,” said Michelle Reza, the Executive Director of JDRF Mississippi.
November is Diabetes Awareness Month so they’re hoping to raise even more money then.
