Two Texas men arrested for drugs after traffic stop

RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Two men are in jail after a traffic stop yielded drugs.

A Mississippi Highway Patrol trooper made a traffic stop around 5:00 p.m. on I-20 West near Brandon according to Corporal Eric Henry with Troop C of the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

Corporal Henry says the trooper smelled marijuana as he approached the vehicle.

After further review, it was noticed that Marcus White, 33, of from Cedar Hill, TX was wanted for possession of cocaine and had a full extradition warrant from Hurst, TX.

The passenger, Dennis Conley, 51, also from Cedar Hill, TX, was found in possession of crack cocaine.

The trooper also found crack cocaine, liquid codeine, spice, pills, marijuana and two loaded firearms inside the vehicle.

Both White and Conley were arrested and charged for possession of illegal drugs.

They are currently in Rankin County Jail awaiting their first court appearance.
