Reward offered for info that leads to arrest of 2 homicide suspects

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — A reward is being offered for information about two homicide suspects.

Crime Stoppers said Anyone with information that could help lead to the arrests of 31-year-old Corey Smith and 24-year-old Jeremy Lewis would be eligible for a reward of up to $2,500.

They are wanted for murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

In June 2016, officials said 30-year-old William Potts died at the hospital after he was shot in the chest. Police said Potts and two others were in a car on University Boulevard near Cherry Street after 11:30 p.m. when the shooting happened.

The victims’ drove to the hospital after they were shot. The driver was shot in the foot, and the other passenger was shot in the chest.

Authorities said four men approached the vehicle and opened fire.

Robby Lewis and Preston Lewis were arrested in July in connection with this crime.
