JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — Some Jackson elementary students walked for breast cancer awareness Friday morning.

Students at teachers from Wilkins Elementary held the event. They had some help from the Jackson Police Department.

They hold a walk each year to honor those lost and survivors of breast cancer.

“We want to bring awareness to our community and all of our neighbors to let them know that we are in support of finding a cure and we’re raising funds,” said Principal Cheryl Brown. “And we’re all about supporting each and every one who has or has suffered from cancer.”
