UPDATE: 10/26/2016 5:48am Rankin County Coroner David Ruth is confirming that one person, a man, has been killed in this morning’s accident.
His identity is not being released at this time pending notification of the family.
UPDATE: 10/26/2016 5:42am Delays are still listed at two hours.
Pelahatchie, Mississippi (WJTV) – Delays of up to two hours are being reported on I-20 westbound before MS43 at Pelahatchie near Puckett Exit 68.
The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) says that the right lane of traffic is blocked because of a crash. WJTV is working with Pelahatchie Police to learn more about the nature of the incident which – despite the duration of anticipated delays – is expected to have only a moderate impact on traffic according to MDOT.
WJTV is on the scene and will provide more information and updated traffic reports as they become available.
Drivers in the area are advised to use extra caution.
