JACKSON, Mississippi (WJTV) – A clothing manufacturer based in Atlanta, Georgia may be helping to change perceptions about Down Syndrome around the world after a potential model for the company was rejected by a talent agency.

CBS station WKRC in Cincinnati, Ohio reports the story of Meagan Nash and her 15-month-old son Asher, after the mother of the special needs child was told that photos of her son submitted for consideration by Oshkosh were not submitted because a representative for the agency assumed that OshKosh would not be interested in a model with Down Syndrome.

Since then Asher’s story and pictures have gone viral, and mother and son have met with OshKosh B’gosh.  Thousands of new Asher fans are anxiously awaiting the outcome of that meeting.
