C Spire’s Dave Miller says that general admission tickets and tickets for the exclusive area in front of the stage (with standing room only) are still available.
Ridgeland, Mississippi (WJTV) – Country music star Kenny Chesney is not expected to go on tour next year but fans in Mississippi will have a chance to see the artist who released his latest album, “Cosmic Hallelujah,” today.
Tickets for C Spire’s “Day of Country” go on sale next Friday, November 4, 2016 for the concert which will be held on the campus of the Baptist Health System in Madison, Mississippi on May 20, 2017. The campus is located just off of Highland Colony Parkway near Highway 463.
The live outdoor event will also feature country music artists Russell Dickerson, Jana Kramer, Jake Owen, and Thomas Rhett.
In recognition of the fact that the concert is being held on Armed Forces Day, members of the military will be honored during the event.
According to a written release issued by Dave Miller, C Spire’s Senior Manager of Media Relations, the concerts have brought in a total of three million dollars in revenue since 2013. Says Miller, “We are excited to be hosting this concert….In addition to Kenny Chesney, Russell Dickerson is an amazing talent. Thomas Rhett and Jake Owen are experiencing a stratospheric rise in country music. And Jana Kramer is a great talent as a musician, actress, and now dancer on “Dancing with the Stars.”
