JACKSON, Mississippi (WJTV) – Here is the weather forecast for October 27, 2016 for Jackson, Mississippi from WJTV.

WJTV Meteorologist Terran Kirksey says that it is difficult to believe that just a few months ago we had too much rain and now, just before November, we do not have enough rain.  Mississippi is about five inches below average for this time of year.  There is no significant rain in the forecast.

The latest drought monitor shows a severe drought and the fire danger is higher

Terran says, “Even if your county isn’t officially under a burn ban it is still an absolutely terrible idea to do any type of outdoor burning” until we get a decent amount of rain in Mississippi.

Temperatures today will be in the mid-eighties.  Highs will remain in the mid-eighties, about ten degrees above average, into the first week in November.
