The Mississippi Forestry Commission reports the wildfire has been contained at this time.
Crews are still on the scene however to put spots and to also monitor the area.
COPIAH COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – The Mississippi Forestry Commission is still working a wildfire in Copiah County Sunday afternoon.
WJTV was told 20 forested acres were burned; three structures were threatened but were saved by MFC Wildland firefighters.
MFC says more units have been deployed because the fire re-ignited.
WJTV also learned that Dentville volunteer firefighters are on scene working to keep it off the road.
Assistant Chief Mike Michalski says it burned about 25% percent of 100 acres so far.
