JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning has set an emergency special meeting to discuss a Jackson State University personnel matter.
The meeting is set for Tuesday, November 1 at noon.
The board did not specify what personnel matter they will discuss.
However just last week, the university’s president submitted a letter of resignation to IHL. Dr. Carolyn Meyers said in her letter that she would step down from her position, effective November 1.
WJTV will continue to follow this developing story.
