JPD: Homicide suspect Jamichael Jackson, a/k/a Jamichael Johnson, is in custody

UPDATE: 11/01/2016 8:08am Jackson Police say that homicide suspect Jamichael Jackson, also known as Jamichael Johnson, is in custody.  According the the JPD he was taken into custody on October 31, 2016 by the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office on unrelated charges.

Hinds County deputies tells WJTV that Jackson was arrested last week by deputies in Harris County, Texas for a drug charge. He was arrested for allegedly possessing and selling cocaine. We’re told that the gave authorities a fake name initially, but fingerprints positively identified him as Jamichael Jackson.

They then realized he was wanted in Jackson, Miss. He was extradited to Mississippi Sunday to face the charges here.

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Jackson Police Department needs help locating a possible homicide suspect.

Jackson Police responded to Black Diamonds Club on February 20, 2016, around 2:30 a.m. about gunshots being fired according to a Jackson Police Department press release.

Jackson Police learned two men were shot; one man survived, the other, Sylvester Williams, later died from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Jamichael Jackson, 23, has been identified as the suspect. He is charged with one count of murder and one count of aggravated assault.

JPD became aware that Jackson and the victims got into an altercation inside of the club prior to the shooting.
