Mother, brother of missing Pennsylvania twins feared dead are going to trial

PITTSBURGH (AP) – The mother and brother of Pennsylvania twins who’ve been missing for more than 10 years must stand trial on charges they’ve concealed the twins as police for the first time have acknowledged they believe the twins are dead.

Patricia Fowler was ordered to stand trial after a preliminary hearing on Monday. Datwon Fowler waived his hearing. They’re accused of lying to police about the whereabouts of Ivon and Inisha Fowler, who would be about 17 years old now.

Welfare caseworkers haven’t been able to locate the twins.

Allegheny County Detective Michael Kuma testified he believes the children are dead though he acknowledges being unable to prove that.

The Fowlers have said the twins are safely living out of state, but police say their stories don’t check out.
