JPS names Freddrick Murray as Interim Superintendent

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Jackson Public School District has named an Interim Superintendent for the school district.

Freddrick Murray agreed to serve in the position at Tuesday night’s meeting.

He is a district employee who has been a principal at several JPS schools.

Also, Cedrick Gray formally resigned from his position by submitting a letter.

JPS will put together a search team for Gray’s successor.
