Timberlake Campground at The Rez expanding

(WJTV) — Timberlake Campground near the Ross Barnett Reservoir is expanding.

Many gathered for a ribbon cutting.

“We at the Pearl River Valley Water Supply District are extremely proud to unveil our latest expansion at Timberlake Campground,” said Jack Winstead, the Chairman of the PRVWSD Board of Directors. “Timberlake is the most popular of our five campgrounds, our most successful campground and with a total of 318 sites, our largest campground.”

According to the Pearl River Water Valley Water Supply District, the $1.5 million addition that  includes 27 new full-service RV sites and a new bathhouse.

PRVWSD officials said the addition will pay for itself in five years, if not sooner.
